Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Saturday, Nov. 13th at 11am, but the fun was continuously from Nov. 13th at 7am to the 14th at 10pm. Located at 41 East Main Street in Patchogue Village raffles were held along with free samplings. If you were lucky enough to attend authentic 1st edition Roast Grand Opening Mug as well as discounts galore for future tasty beverages were distributed.

NEWS FLASH! New YMCA of Patchogue has delayed its opening until further notice. They are awaiting a part for the final inspection to proceed so they may receive their CO [certificate of occupancy]. It is believed it will be just a few short days and members and possible members will be welcome. Lobby is open to pick up literature.

The 3rd Patchogue Arts Council's Walking Arts Tour is On Aug. 28th - Nov. 4th.

This past Saturday, August 28th was the Kick-Off Party for the Patchogue Arts Council's 3rd Walking Arts Tour. It was held at the Center for Visual Arts on Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point. A large crowd attended and are excited because the tour has expanded. The larger portion of the tour is located in Village of Patchogue, then Blue Point, Bayport and Sayville. The tour will run until Thursday, Novrember 4th, 2010.


The Walking Arts Tour is an exhibit where local artists submit their work to display in the windows and storefronts of local businesses. Each year this tour gets more refined - this year note how the work is exhibited is done really well. I noticed how easy it is to spot the work - most work is frame in a orange boarder. Also you can download a Podcast and hear about the tour, the people involved, the Artists-their work and even about the upcoming Patchogue Arts Festival Oct. 24 to be held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. So LISTEN,WALK and ENJOY the 3rd Patchogue Arts Council's Walking Arts Tour, and remember to mark your calendar to join us at the Patchogue Arts Fall Festival Oct. 24th for a Free Day of Art, Poetry, and Music in downtown Patchogue.
